Still well-bound and entirely original, this charming book includes an inscription from "Aunt Helen" dated 1858. Of the eight scenes, two retain their fully functional tabs. All movable elements across the scenes are original and present, with the exception of a missing badminton in one of the scenes( the one with the girl holding a racquet). We did not include interior photos of copy 2 but can provide upon request.
The scenes in both books (in different order in each) include:
• A boy about to throw a stick as his dog eagerly lifts its front paws, watched by a girl clutching her doll.
• A boy riding his rocking horse, admired by his sister.
• A girl playing badminton or a similar game
• Two boys launching a toy boat into a pond
• A lady riding a black pony through the countryside.
• A young girl in a pink dress being pushed on a swing by a boy
• A boy and girl see-sawing over a log.
• Two girls, one lifting a doll
