This site was originally founded and curated by a beautiful redhead - my mother Dr. Betty Tisinger, a distinguished retired Professor Emeritus from the School of Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University. Our site offers a carefully researched selection of rare and unique movable books such as pull-tabs, pop-ups, panoramas, peepshows, novelty books, etc.

Betty Tisinger's passion for these "little works of art" is showcased in her extensive collection, many for sale here – and many of which are permanently housed in the Library of Special Collections Division at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her commitment to preserving and documenting the history of these treasures is evident through ongoing research efforts and collaborations with collectors worldwide.

Exhibits: Over 100 movables from Mother's collection were on exhibit in Europe. She is delighted that many of her Holiday themed "little works of art" were exhibited in Spain during December 2014 and January 2015 at the University of Santago de Compostela. The exhibit was entitled A Christmas in Full Dimensions.
