Octavo, [10] pages. In original Box and slipcase. Bound in green cloth with gold-stamped spine and a pictorial pop-up label affixed to the box. Presented in a green cloth slipcase featuring a signed and numbered print housed in a custom-built holder inlaid on the front. A pristine copy, complete with the original slipcase and box, which includes a matching limitation number on its paper label. The book and print are both signed and numbered by Robert Sabuda, with the signature on the limitation pop-up on the book's front cover and the print integrated into the slipcase's presentation holder.
This is the first edition, deluxe issue, designated as #2 of a 50-copy limited run featuring an additional pop-up and signed print. Sabuda’s captivating interpretation of Baum’s timeless story was published in two exclusive limited-edition formats. The first was limited to 250 copies, including a signed and numbered pop-up. This rarer edition of 50 copies, includes an additional signed print created by Sabuda for this special release. The subsequent limited edition of 250 copies of this book do not have the woodcut print to the slipcase.
CONDITION: Mint book in decorative cloth with a bonus pop-up not found in the trade edition on the front cover. Presented in it's matching slipcase with the woodcut print. In original fine publisher's shipping box. Opened only to photograph outside elements.
