Sabuda, renowned for his paper engineering skills, designed each book to feature six pop-up spreads, each highlighting a different endangered animal native to the respective continent. Each compact volume begins with the statement, "Meet some of the animals of [the specific continent] who need our help." The next six pages showcase native species, each accompanied by a short descriptive caption, such as "a Louisiana black bear with a sweet, sticky paw" or "a cheetah with lightning speed".
The closing pages include a "Note to Parents" emphasizing the responsibility of protecting wildlife ("It's up to us to save our wildlife") and provide six actionable suggestions on "What Parents and Kids Can Do to Help."
