Sally Blakemore was the keynote speaker at the Movable Book Society’s annual conference in Portland, Oregon Sept. 23-25, 2010. She was also nominated for the Meggendorfer prize. Sally has illustrated, designed and paper engineered approximately 50 titles since her first illustration job in 1977.
She has won many awards for her books including Print Magazine Design Awards and Parent's Choice Awards. She has worked with Simon and Schuster, HarperCollins, Dutton Children's Books, Viking, Disney Press, Harry Abrams, Ragged Bears, Albin Michel, Western National Parks, The Getty Museum, and others. One of her most famous pop-up books is the Nascar pop-up book.
