Capendu partnered with big international publishers such as Schreiber and G. Löwensohn in Germany, Dean and Tuck in England, and we have even found a Capendu edition of Frederick Warne’s 1890 English language movable book - The Magic Lantern – Struwwelpeter (Slovenly Peter).
This book has the same format and size as PORTRAITS COMIQUES en quatre tableaux. Paris, A. Capendu, [ca. 1890] which also contained 4 movables.
